What is a futures prop firm?
A futures prop firm lends you its capital to trade futures and splits the profits with you. You pass an evaluation, trade a funded account and collect your share of the profit split: you don't risk your own money, only the cost of the evaluation.
We compare the 11 firms with real, up-to-date data: see them in the ranking or the comparator. One tip: don't look at the account size, which is marketing, but at the real drawdown, which is what decides whether the account survives or blows up.
How to choose a futures prop firm
It depends on how you trade. There's no single best for everyone: some are cheap to start with, others have better payout terms for when you're already consistent, and direct passes for those who skip the evaluation.
What sets a good one apart from a bad one isn't the marketing: it's paying out without excuses, solid support and a strong Trustpilot reputation. See which ones score best in the ranking, or sort them by price, drawdown or profit split in the comparator.
Frequently asked questions
What is a futures funded account?
It's the account funded with the firm's capital that you get after passing its evaluation (or buying a direct pass). You trade futures with their money and keep a percentage of the profits, the profit split, without risking your own capital beyond the cost of the account.
How much does a futures prop firm cost?
The price varies by firm and account size, and there are almost always active discounts. In the comparator you see the real, current price of each one; don't trust stray figures you find elsewhere, because they change every month.
Evaluation or direct pass?
For most traders the evaluation works out better: direct passes usually come with worse payout terms. Better to lose two or three cheap evaluations than pay for a direct pass, unless you know exactly what you're doing.
Are futures prop firms reliable?
The ones we compare have been paying out for years and have verifiable reputations. The most common beginner mistake is blaming the firm: the problem is almost always the system, risk management or mindset. Pick a serious firm and focus on trading well.
