1What they are and how we use them
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. There are other similar techniques, such as the browser's local and session storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) or the identifiers a notification service stores. This policy explains all of them and, for short, we call them “cookies”.
We group them into four categories: necessary, functional, analytics and advertising. Necessary cookies are used without asking your permission, because without them the website does not work or cannot give you what you ask for. The other three, only if you accept them.
Some are set by us (El Trader Financiado; the owner's details are in the legal notice) and others by the third-party services listed in each table. What we do with your data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
2Necessary cookies
They are used without consent because they are essential for the website or for a service you ask for (Art. 22.2 of the LSSI, Spain's Information Society Services Act, which transposes Directive 2002/58/EC).

Our own statistics without analytics cookies: if you do not accept analytics cookies, to count visits and clicks in aggregate we only use a session identifier (analytics_session_id and presence_session_id, in session storage), which is deleted when you close the tab. It is set by us, only produces our own aggregate statistics, is not combined with your account or other data and is not shared with anyone. This is allowed by the AEPD guide “Use of cookies for audience measurement tools” (in Spanish, January 2024). For the same purpose, the group you are in for a test of the offer pop-ups (etf-popup-retraso, in local storage) is stored so that it does not change on every visit.
Contests and giveaways: only when you click to take part, we calculate a technical summary of your browser to detect duplicate entries. Nothing is stored in your browser.
3Functional cookies
Only with your consent. Without them the website works the same, but it does not adapt to you.

4Analytics cookies
Only with your consent. They tell us how the website is used so we can improve it. They are not anonymous: they are used to tell your browser apart from others.

5Advertising cookies
Only with your consent. They are used to measure whether our ads on Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and X work: they tell those networks about your visits and your clicks to firms. If you do not accept them, nothing from these services is loaded.

These services may also set cookies on their own domain (google.com, facebook.com, x.com), under their own policies.
Meta and us, joint controllers: when the Meta pixel loads with your permission, El Trader Financiado and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. are joint controllers for collecting that data on our website and transmitting it to Meta (Art. 26 GDPR and the judgment of the Court of Justice of the EU in Fashion ID, C-40/17). Each of us is responsible for our own part: we are responsible for asking your permission, informing you and that collection; Meta, for what it does with the data afterwards, which is governed by its privacy policy. You can exercise your rights with either of us.
6How to change your choice
• Manage cookies: at the bottom of every page there is a “Manage cookies” button. From there you can accept, reject or choose by category whenever you want. Rejecting is as easy as accepting.
• When you withdraw a permission, we delete that service's cookies that are on our domain and, if needed, reload the page so it stops working. The ones those services set on their own domain can only be deleted from your browser.
• Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends this signal and you have not made a choice, we treat it as a rejection of everything that is not necessary.
• How often we ask: we ask for your consent again after 24 months at most, and sooner if the cookies we use change.
• Proof of your choice: we store what you chose, the date and an encrypted code of your IP address (not the IP itself), so we can prove it.
• From your browser you can also block or delete cookies, although some parts of the website may stop working: Chrome (Settings › Privacy and security), Firefox (Settings › Privacy & Security), Safari (Settings › Privacy) and Edge (Settings › Cookies and site permissions).
