Privacy Policy

1In short

Who: El Trader Financiado. The controller is Leonardo Ariel Miguelín Basanta (his details are in section 2).

The deal: the tools are free. We live off affiliate commissions: if you buy from a firm through our links or with our code, the firm pays us a commission out of its own pocket. We do not sell your data.

Your accounts and trades are yours: only you see them. With them we give you your journal, your statistics, the Track Record, the Calculator, the Coach and the Guardian.

Improving for everyone: with summaries of your results (not your trades), handled confidentially (they carry a code instead of your name and your account names), we tune the Calculator, the firms' rules and the Coach's tips. If you don't want that, you turn it off in Settings › Privacy and lose nothing.

Emotions, only if you say yes: journal emotions are only saved if you check the box, and they only help other traders if you also check the second one. You can remove both permissions whenever you want.

Providers: we store your data with providers who can only process it to provide us with their service. Some are outside the European Economic Area, with the safeguards the law requires.

Adults only: the website and its tools are for people aged 18 and over.

You decide: you can download or delete your data, object to the improvement, remove permissions and lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or with the authority in your country.

2Data Controller

Controller: Leonardo Ariel Miguelín Basanta

Tax ID: 53675764C

Address: C/ León XIII, 27, 1º I, CP 33209, Gijón, Asturias, Spain

Email: info@eltraderfinanciado.com

3What data we process and what for

Your account: your name, your email and what the service you sign in with (Google, Discord or X/Twitter) provides to us, plus your profile (display name, avatar and time zone). They let you sign in and save your things.

Journal, Track Record and Control Center: your trading accounts (the name or ID the firm gives you and its balances), your executions, trades and positions (entry, exit, stop and target), your notes and ratings, the rules you set up, your evaluations (firm, plan, size, price paid, discount code, dates and status) and your withdrawals. With them we give you your journal, your statistics, the Track Record, the Calculator's probabilities, the Coach's tips and the Guardian's alerts. No rule is applied to your accounts unless you turn it on yourself.

Receipts: if you upload a photo or PDF of a receipt to fill in the Track Record, an artificial intelligence provider extracts the firm, the amount, the date and the discount code. The file is not stored: only the data you confirm.

Improving the tool: with summaries of your results (for example, whether an account passed or was blown and what the Calculator would have said), with the firm rules you correct by hand and with the Coach tips that work for you, we tune the Calculator, the rule templates and the tips for everyone. These summaries are confidential: they carry a code instead of your name and your account names, and your trades are never shown to another trader. They are not anonymous, because we could link that code to you, and that is why we treat them as personal data.

Emotions: only if you check the box, we save how you felt when entering or exiting each trade, for your statistics and your tips. They can reveal aspects of your state of mind, so they are sensitive data. They only help other traders (letting the Coach learn from them, confidentially) if you also check the second box.

Control Center usage statistics: which tabs and features are used, without your Journal code or your name, so we know what to improve.

Contests and giveaways: if you take part, we store your entry and whatever their rules require. To prevent cheating (duplicate accounts or several people on the same device), we check a technical summary of your browser and your IP address, including with an external service that detects VPN connections.

Affiliation: when you click a firm's link, we note which firm and from which page, to know what is useful to you and to collect the commission. If you accept advertising cookies, we report that click to the networks where we advertise to measure our ads.

Website use and technical data: pages visited, IP address, browser, device and operating system, so the website works, is secure and so we can measure its use. Without analytics cookies, our own statistics only use an identifier that lasts as long as the session and is not combined with anything else. Cookies are explained in the Cookie Policy.

Notifications: if you turn on push notifications, our notification service (OneSignal) stores an identifier in your browser, and we use it to send you alerts about discounts and updates.

What you accepted: the version of this information you saw, the date and the permissions you checked, so we can prove it.

4Legal basis for each use

Giving you the service you ask for (your account, the journal, the Track Record, the Control Center, the Calculator, the Coach, the Guardian and the contests and giveaways you enter): performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Improving the tool for everyone with confidential summaries: our legitimate interest in making the Calculator, the rules and the tips more accurate (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). It is on by default and you can object at any time in Settings › Privacy, without losing any feature.

Emotions: your explicit consent, one for your statistics and a separate one for helping other traders (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR). You give it by checking each box and withdraw it by unchecking it.

Non-essential cookies and push notifications: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Our own visit statistics without analytics cookies: our legitimate interest in knowing how much the website is used, with a session identifier that serves no other purpose.

Affiliation: our legitimate interest in knowing which firms interest you and in collecting the commission. The report to the networks where we advertise, only if you accept advertising cookies.

Security and fraud prevention, including in contests and giveaways: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Legal obligations: when the law requires it (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

The “Got it, continue” button only records that you have received this information. It is not consent: you only grant the permissions you check.

5Who we share it with and transfers

Your data is processed, on our behalf, by providers who can only use it to provide us with their service (data processors): hosting and database, sign-in, sending notifications, fraud prevention, website measurement (if you accept analytics cookies) and artificial intelligence (to read the receipts you upload and to prepare answers to our community's questions).

If you sign in with Google, Discord or X/Twitter, that service knows you have signed in to our website.

If you accept advertising cookies, the networks where we advertise (Google, Meta and X) receive data about your visit and your clicks to firms to measure our ads.

Meta and us, joint controllers: when the Meta pixel loads with your permission, El Trader Financiado and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. are joint controllers for collecting that data on our website and transmitting it to Meta (Art. 26 GDPR and the judgment of the Court of Justice of the EU in Fashion ID, C-40/17). Each of us is responsible for our own part: we are responsible for asking your permission, informing you and that collection; Meta, for what it does with the data afterwards, which is governed by its privacy policy. You can exercise your rights with either of us.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area: some of these providers are outside the EEA. In those cases, the transfer relies on an adequacy decision (the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for providers that have signed up to it) or on standard contractual clauses from the European Commission. You can ask us for the list of providers and a copy of the safeguards by writing to info@eltraderfinanciado.com.

We do not sell or share your data with anyone for commercial purposes.

6How long we keep it

• Your account: while you have it. When you delete it, we only keep what is strictly necessary, blocked, to handle possible claims for the period the law sets.

• Journal, Control Center and Track Record: while you have the account, unless you delete them earlier from “Your data”, which erases them immediately.

• Summaries to improve the tool: while you have the account. If you object, we stop using yours.

• Emotions: until you delete them or delete your journal.

• Receipts: the file is not kept: it is discarded as soon as it has been read.

• Contests and giveaways: what is needed to run them, announce the winners and deliver the prizes; after that, only what is strictly necessary, blocked, for possible claims.

• Notifications: until you turn them off or delete your subscription.

• Website analytics data: 25 months at most.

• What you accepted: while you have the account, so we can prove which information you saw and which permissions you gave.

7Your rights and security

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection at any time, and withdraw any permission you have given us. Withdrawing it does not affect processing carried out before.

Without asking us: in Settings › Privacy you can stop contributing to the improvement and remove the emotions permissions; in “Your data”, download and delete your journal, the Control Center and the Track Record; non-essential cookies, in “Manage cookies”, at the bottom of the page; and notifications, in their preferences.

By email: write to info@eltraderfinanciado.com from your account's address. We will only ask for more documentation if we have reasonable doubts about your identity, and only what is necessary.

Time limit: we reply within one month at most. If the request is complex or we receive many, this can be extended by two more months; in that case we will let you know within the first month and tell you why.

Lodging a complaint: you can lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country of residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The one competent for the controller is the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), at www.aepd.es.

Security: we use encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure sign-in and restricted access: each user can only read their own journal and Track Record data.

Changes: if we change how we use your data, we will show it to you before applying it, with what is new highlighted.

8Minimum age

The website and its tools are for people aged 18 and over. We do not want data from minors: if we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we delete it.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has given us their data, write to us at info@eltraderfinanciado.com.

9If you live outside the European Economic Area

We give everyone the same rights, wherever you live, and they are exercised through the same channels as in section 7.

Brazil (LGPD): the person in charge of handling requests from data subjects (the “encarregado” under the LGPD) can be contacted at info@eltraderfinanciado.com. You can also lodge a complaint with Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

Mexico: you can exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and objection (ARCO rights) by writing to info@eltraderfinanciado.com.

In any country: you can also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority where you live.
