Avis
Quick verdict: FTMO is the oldest firm in the sector (2015, Prague) and in August 2026 it launched its futures product, which has nothing to do with the CFD one that made it famous. Single-step evaluation, no time limit and only 3 minimum days (2 on Pro), EOD drawdown that freezes at your starting balance (and it does so during the evaluation too, something almost nobody offers), 90/10 from the very first withdrawal and a minimum withdrawal of just $20. Trustpilot 4,8/5 with 52 872 reviews. My score: 7.5/10. The downsides carry weight: it's brand new, it's a monthly subscription that you don't get back, the per-payout caps are low and at 16:10 ET they close everything on you — swing trading doesn't exist here.
Let me get the important thing out of the way first: I haven't passed an FTMO Futures evaluation yet. I'm saying it plainly because I only write about what I've traded with my own money, and this product is weeks old. So you're not going to read here how their platform behaves under pressure or how long they take to pay me. What I can do is what I've been doing for years: read their rules from top to bottom and tell you where the trap is and where the gift is.
And I'll start with what I think is the best part of their offer: the drawdown. It's End of Day —it recalculates once a day, at the close— and on top of that it stops rising as soon as it reaches your starting balance. Translation: it doesn't chase you forever. So far, good but normal; what's genuinely rare is that that lock already works during the evaluation, not just once you're funded. Most firms make you sweat the trailing until you pass. Not here. For someone who has blown so many accounts over an intraday spike he didn't close, that's worth a lot.
The rest of the package holds up: only 3 minimum days (2 on Pro), no time limit, 90% split from the very first euro and a $20 minimum withdrawal, which is one of the lowest I've seen. And the Growth doesn't even have a daily loss limit in the evaluation.
Now what I don't like, and it's not a short list.
First, the clock. At 16:10 ET the platform liquidates everything: positions and pending orders. No overnight, no weekend, nothing. If your system breathes on hourly charts or you let trades run from one day to the next, FTMO Futures isn't for you and it doesn't matter how good their drawdown is.
Second, how you pay. It's a monthly subscription, not a one-off payment. While you're in the evaluation they charge you every month. And watch out for this one, because on their CFD product FTMO refunds the fee with your first payout: on futures they don't. The good news is that once you pass the evaluation the subscription cancels itself and you pay nothing for the funded account and no activation fee. But if it takes you four months to pass, you've paid four months.
Third, the withdrawal caps. On Growth you can only take out 50% of the available profit per cycle and with a ceiling of $2,500 to $4,000 depending on the size. Pro lets you take 100% and raises the caps, but it hits you with a hard daily loss limit: touch it and you lose the account. Pick your poison.
And fourth, it's brand new. FTMO says so without hiding it and promises that the targets you buy don't change halfway through, which is to their credit. But being this new means there can be technical glitches and that there's still no futures payout history to hold on to. The brand has been around since 2015 and claims to have paid out over 650 million — with its other product. On futures, right now, they're starting from zero.
My summary? Very well thought-out risk rules wrapped in a pricing model that punishes anyone who's slow and in a schedule that shuts out half the industry. A 7.5 that could climb quite a bit once the months go by and we see how they pay.
The good:
The bad:
The three of them are playing for different things, so I'll lay it out on what actually decides it.
How you pay. Apex is a one-off payment with aggressive discounts almost all year round: if you take a while to pass, it doesn't cost you more. FTMO charges you every month until you pass, and with no discount. MFF is in the middle. If you're one of those who takes a while —and most of us do— this only has one winner, and it isn't FTMO.
The drawdown. Here the tables turn. Apex uses intraday trailing, the harshest there is: any spike you don't close raises your limit forever. FTMO and MFF use EOD, far more manageable. And FTMO adds the lock at the starting balance right from the evaluation. For anyone who gets eaten alive by intraday trailing over and over, that difference is worth more than the price.
The schedule. Apex and MFF let you trade the full session. FTMO closes everything on you at 16:10 ET. If you trade the Asian session or the early European one, or you like to let trades run, you've already got your answer.
The withdrawals. MFF and Apex have more generous caps and a long history of documented payouts. FTMO pays 90% with a $20 minimum —very good— but with lower ceilings and no history to show yet.
My conclusion: if you're after price and schedule flexibility, Apex. If you want the proven balance between rules and payouts, MFF. FTMO comes in if what's killing you is the trailing and you want a drawdown that stops moving as soon as possible — and you accept paying by the month and closing everything every afternoon.
It fits you if:
It doesn't fit you if:
If after all this it fits you, here's how I'd go about it:
Start with the Growth 50K ($119/month). It's the cheapest entry and, above all, the one that punishes you least while you learn their rules: it has no daily loss limit in the evaluation, so a bad day doesn't knock you out. The Pro is more demanding —hard daily loss— and it only pays off once you know you pass evaluations comfortably and you want the higher withdrawal caps and the 100% withdrawable.
Before buying, run two checks. One: look at your real trading schedule and make sure you close comfortably before 16:10 ET. Two: be honest about how long you take to pass an evaluation, because every extra month is another $119. If you have doubts about both, go with another firm.
And a personal recommendation: with a product this new and no payout history, I wouldn't put more than one account in here until I'd seen a couple of my own withdrawals actually paid. The company is serious, but the product still has to prove it.
