V3.4 lets you install the Emotional Manager on several computers, forces a pre-trade checklist and fine-tunes the wait, news and ATM locks.

On 22 July Bruno Meza released V3.4 of the Emotional Manager, the tool's biggest update so far this year. It is already available from the client area.

Data verified on 23 July 2026 against Bruno Meza's official emails (22 Jul, 30 Jun, 25 Jun and 3 Jun 2026). For the always-current detail, see the Emotional Manager page or the free Trading Journal.

What changes in V3.4

Five blocks of changes, two of which affect how you use the tool day to day:

  1. Multi-machine: the licence is no longer tied to a single computer.
  2. Pre-trade rules checklist: trading stays locked until you confirm your plan.
  3. Finer locks: post-trade wait, news, ATM and contract limits.
  4. New design across the interface.
  5. Fixes for bugs, vulnerabilities and performance.

Multi-machine: the most requested feature

You can now install the Emotional Manager on several computers and choose which one you trade from. The condition: only one machine can be enabled at a time. The others are fully locked, so you cannot dodge the protection by opening NinjaTrader on the laptop.

You switch machines from inside the Emotional Manager: you enable the new one and the previous one locks automatically. Templates sync across machines, so there is nothing to reconfigure.

The limit exists so one licence is not shared by several people, but it solves the real case of trading from a desktop at home and a laptop on the road.

Pre-trade rules checklist

You can create different entry types and assign the rules each one must meet. With the feature on, trading stays locked until you tick every box. It is deliberate friction against impulsive entries: if you cannot tick the box, it was not your setup.

Finer locks

  • 🟢 Minimum amount to trigger the wait: you set the amount above which a trade counts as a winner or a loser. A trade closed near breakeven no longer triggers the post-loss wait.
  • 🟢 Lock scope during the wait: choose between locking only the instrument you just traded or the whole platform.
  • 🟢 Optional close on news: until now, an open position was force-closed when news approached. Now you choose whether it closes or stays open.
  • 🟢 Advanced ATM protection: configure stop and target separately, and for each one decide whether it can only be moved in your favour, only against, both ways, or not at all.
  • 🟢 Separate max contracts for mini and micro: no more using the same limit for MNQ and NQ.
  • 🟢 Evaluated on open or closed trades: most parameters can now be evaluated while the trade is open or only once it closes.
  • 🟡 Rule display from the chart trader: you now see exactly which rule is blocking you instead of an unexplained lock.

What does NOT change

Still a one-off lifetime licence with no monthly fees, compatible with any prop firm or broker that connects to NinjaTrader 8, unlimited accounts, and the same four protection levels (self-managed password, trusted person, password lockout and extreme protection). Advanced Risk Reward is still included free.

The Trading Journal also changed

Two recent additions to the free journal we recommend:

  • Public link (June): share your journal through a read-only link. Before publishing it you choose whether you appear with your email, a custom name or anonymously, whether trade and daily notes and rules are visible, whether account names show in full or partially masked, and which accounts are visible at all.
  • Personal Finances (30 June): a new free tool for clients covering income, expenses, recurring movements, receipts and multiple currencies. Anyone who joined the journal through an invitation link — which is the case if you used our code — gets 2 free months. Bruno Meza says he will later connect it to the journal so evaluation, activation and reset costs can be matched against trading results.

A note on version numbers

The update was announced in June as V3.3 and shipped as V3.4. Three features from that announcement — automatic protection for new accounts, emotional statistics in the journal, and percentages calculated on initial or current balance — are not listed in the V3.4 release email. They may be in there unmentioned or pushed to a later version; we will confirm and update this article.

Verdict

Multi-machine and the checklist are substance, not window dressing. The checklist in particular targets the real reason most funded accounts blow up: it is not a lack of rules, it is skipping them when it suits. And the minimum amount to trigger the wait fixes a classic annoyance — being locked out for twenty minutes over a trade closed at +$3.

If you already own a licence the update is free, from the client area at brunomeza.com.

Frequently asked questions

Does V3.4 cost anything if I already own the Emotional Manager?

No. The licence is a one-off payment and includes lifetime updates. You download it from the client area.

Can I trade from two computers at once with multi-machine?

No. You can install it on several machines, but only one can be enabled for trading. The rest stay locked until you switch from inside the Emotional Manager.

Can the rules checklist be turned off mid-session?

The checklist is a feature you enable, and while protection is active you cannot change the template settings. That is the whole point of the tool.

What happens now if news hits while I have a position open?

That is up to you. Until V3.4 the close was mandatory; now you can set the trade to stay open.

Is the Trading Journal still free?

Yes. With our code it is still free and card-free, and it now adds the public sharing link plus 2 months of Personal Finances if you join through an invitation.
