FundedNext stops selling Legacy and debuts Direct: $50K funded from purchase for $169.99, a 90% split and EOD drawdown. Before the first payout you need $2,900 in profit and a 20% perpetual consistency rule.

FundedNext drops Legacy and launches Direct: a $50K funded account with no evaluation

FundedNext has pulled the Legacy account from its futures lineup and launched Direct, a $50K funded account with no evaluation phase: you buy it and trade it from day one. It costs $169.99 with the discount code (list price $283.99) and pays a 90% profit split.

Data verified on October 8, 2026 against the FundedNext Futures website, its Help Center ("FundedNext Futures Direct Account: All Rules") and the official announcement from October 7. For always up-to-date conditions, check the FundedNext review or the available discounts.

What changes in the lineup

  1. Legacy is no longer sold. It is gone from the checkout selector and its old page redirects to the futures homepage.
  2. Direct joins as the third product, alongside Flex and Rapid (Pro and Daily).
  3. Direct is not entirely new: it is the FNL:003 experiment from FundedNext Labs, which was sold with limited slots and now becomes a permanent product.
  4. Flex and Rapid are unchanged.

How Direct works

  • 🟢 No evaluation and no profit target: the account is funded from the moment of purchase. You sign the agreement at checkout, and KYC is only required before your first withdrawal.
  • 🟢 $2,000 EOD trailing drawdown: it is recalculated at the close of each day, not in real time, and locks at $50,100 (starting balance + $100).
  • 🟢 Soft $1,000 daily loss limit: if you hit it, trading is disabled until the next day, but the account is not breached.
  • 🟢 90% profit split and a one-time fee, with no monthly charges.
  • 🔴 $2,100 buffer: you must clear it in the cycle before requesting a withdrawal. The buffer stays in the account; you only withdraw what is above it.
  • 🔴 20% perpetual consistency: your best day over the whole life of the account cannot exceed 20% of the current cycle's profit.
  • 🔴 Withdrawals of $800 to $1,200 per cycle, and the account is closed ("Concluded") after the 5th withdrawal.
  • 🔴 No resets, only a 50K size, and 3 minis / 30 micros maximum.
  • 🔴 Inactivity: a Monday-to-Friday week without a single trade breaches the account.
  • 🟡 Platforms: Tradovate, NinjaTrader and TradingView.
  • 🟡 It counts toward the limit of 5 active funded accounts and 10 new accounts per month.

Running the numbers

No evaluation does not mean no target. For the first payout you have to clear the $2,100 buffer and make at least $800 above it: $2,900 in profit at minimum. That is practically the same bar as the $3,000 target of a Rapid 50K evaluation, which costs the same ($169.99 for Daily and $159.99 for Pro). The difference is that in Direct that profit already counts as a funded account and there is no second phase to pass.

Perpetual consistency is the rule that weighs the most. With $2,900 in the cycle, your best day cannot exceed $580. And because the record carries over forever, a single big day raises the bar for every following cycle: a $1,000 day forces you to accumulate $5,000 in each cycle to be able to withdraw, while the maximum withdrawal is $1,200.

The account's ceiling is fixed: 5 withdrawals of $1,200 come to $6,000 gross, $5,400 for you at 90%. That is a wide margin over the $169.99 entry fee, but it is the most a single account can pay out.

The drawdown locks early. The $2,000 trailing stops moving once the closing balance reaches $52,100, which matches the buffer. From then on the floor stays fixed at $50,100.

What does NOT change

Flex (95% split, 40% consistency in the evaluation only, 50K / 100K / 150K) and Rapid Pro and Daily (90% split, 25K / 50K / 100K) keep their rules and prices. FundedNext has not published any notice about Legacy accounts already purchased: their articles are still in the Help Center, so it is reasonable to expect open accounts to keep their current rules.

Who is Direct for?

  • Traders who have already passed evaluations and want to go straight to the funded stage for a one-time fee.
  • Traders who make many small, similar days, because the 20% consistency rewards exactly that.
  • It is not for traders chasing big days or who need resets: one uncontrolled bad day raises the bar or breaches the account, and it cannot be restarted.

Verdict

Direct is a good entry point on price, at the same cost as a Rapid 50K evaluation and with no intermediate phase. But it is not fast money: the $2,900 before the first payout and the 20% perpetual consistency make it, in practice, an evaluation under another name in which the profit already counts. Dropping Legacy leaves FundedNext with a shorter lineup that is easier to compare: Flex for the highest split, Rapid to pass quickly and Direct to skip the exam.

Frequently asked questions

Can you still buy a FundedNext Legacy account?

No. Legacy has disappeared from the checkout selector and its page redirects to the futures homepage. The products on sale are Flex, Rapid (Pro and Daily) and Direct.

Does Direct have a profit target?

It has no evaluation target, but to withdraw you must clear a $2,100 buffer and make at least $800 above it, so the first payout requires $2,900 in profit at minimum.

What happens if I hit the $1,000 daily loss limit?

It is a soft limit: trading is disabled for the rest of the day and you trade again the next day. The account is only breached if you hit the $2,000 maximum drawdown.

What is the most I can earn with a Direct account?

Five withdrawals of up to $1,200 each: $6,000 gross, which is $5,400 with the 90% split. After the fifth withdrawal the account is closed.

Can a Direct account be reset?

No. If it is breached, you have to buy another one.
